TRP is not a free photography service.

What TRP isnot for

The test is simple. If you would receive the primary benefit and you want to direct the shoot, that is a paid session, and there is nothing wrong with saying so. Every one of these is better served by booking properly.

The session

What you contribute

One amount, agreed beforehand and never added to afterwards. This is the part that makes it a collaboration rather than a favour.

TT$125.00 to TT$200.00

Half the studio hire price. The range is there because the studios do not all charge the same, and an evening hour costs more than a morning one. Your exact figure is confirmed with your approval, worked out from the studio and time you actually shoot in.

On location there is no room to hire, so the contribution is TT$125.00, the same rule against the cheapest studio hour. A collaboration is not free in either setting.

How it is paid

  • This is the whole amount. There is no deposit before it and no balance after it.
  • Paid in full to secure the date.
  • Non-refundable for a late cancellation or a no-show.

Nothing is charged by applying. Once a collaboration is approved you are sent a link to pay online, and the date is yours when that payment arrives.

As a guide, roughly one approved collaboration every 3 to 6 months. This is not a fixed rule: where a working relationship is producing good work, we are glad to collaborate more often. A previous approval does not guarantee a future one, and repeated similar applications can be declined.

The question the decision turns on. If you would receive the primary benefit and want to direct the shoot, a paid session is the honest answer, and there is no harm in saying so.
